The Hague is one of the best-equipped cities in Europe for world-class museums. Rain is never bad news here: it is almost an invitation to dive into art and history.

Practical tip: Book tickets online, especially for the Mauritshuis in July-August. The Museumkaart (€65/year) pays for itself from the 4th museum.
